MISSION

"To enhance the participation of the Kadazandusun in commerce and industry through advocacy, networking, information dissemination, mutual support and joint vanture co-operation with other enterpreneurs and businessmen"

VISION

"To contribute towards the echievement of Vision 2020 especially to face the strategic challenges of vision 2020 which is the establishment of Bumiputera Commercial and Industrial Community(BIBC)"

OBJECTIVES

	To unite Kadazandusun businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals for the economic benefit and interest of the Kadazandusun people.
	To establish business organization and enterprises for the benifit of the Kadazandusun people in commercial and industrial sectors.
	To protect and advocate for the interest of members pertaining to commercial and industrial undertakings within the confine law.
	To co-ordinate the activities of members and to resolve conflict among members provided that both parties consent to the intervention of the Chamber.
	To assist and represent members in negotiation in trade, purchase and sale be it demostic or international.
	To establish or to assist in the establishment of organizations, corporations, association, funds scholarship and trust fund or other funds charitable purposes.
	To buy, borrow, mortgage, lease, own, rent and generally to deal with lands, shares or other properties.
	To establish relationship or to to co-operate with other organizations or associations with similar aims and objectives.
	To build on the Chamber's land, building or buildings for the use of the Chamber
	To borrow or raise money for the purpose of the Chamber on terms and conditions deemed fit by the Supreme Council of the Chamber
	To establish a foundation for the purposes of education and management training for the Kadazandusun on business and entrepreneurship.
	To publish periodicals of pamphlets pertaining to trade, enterprise and business.
	To execute and implement whatsoever trust pertaining to fund or property received or obtained by the Chamber.
	To received financial assistance, donations and heritage from corporations and individuals to further such objective abovestated or any one of them.

ROLES AND FUNCTIONS

ADVOCACY

To conduct advocacy activities on policy, legislation and Programmes that is favorable to the enhancement of the participation of Kadazandusun in commerce and industry. The KCCI will also act as spokesperson for the Kadazandusun business community on matter of interest of them.

1.	Facilitator
	To facilitate networking among businessmen for mutual support, encouragement and mutual growth.
2.	Catalyst
	To catalyse changes in attitude and mentality towards positive thinking of commercial and industrial participation through the dissemination of information and to cunduct of public meetings.
3.	Research & Development and Advisory Services
	To assist in undertaking of research and development for the purposeos of advisory services to members of the Chamber. To conduct research on legislation and policy analysis for advocacy purposed.

PROGRAMMES

Among the important programmes of the KCCI are:

	To enhance the capacity and capability of members to undertake business ventures and investment.
	To strengthen the KCCI through organizational development, networking and investment.
	To conduct policy analysis, legislation and other research and development activities on business opportunities.
	Strengthen linkages with the government and other Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
	To organize business conference, conventions and congress both for idea generation as well as business networking.
	To participate in trade missions.
